Boost Your After-Show Sales
Now that you’ve collected all those great customer leads, there’s only one thing to do...
FOLLOW UP, FOLLOW UP, and FOLLOW UP!
At the very least, make sure that each and every one of the people kind enough to give you contact information is added to your mailing lists – both postal and electronic. Make sure you are sending them some sort of promotional mailing at least four times a year.
Shortly after the show, you should personally acknowledge their expressed interest in your work and thank each one of them for visiting your booth at the show. This can be done with a postal or electronic postcard or with a short letter or email message. For this purpose, we feel that a postal mailing is more effective so the prospect then has something to keep on hand for when they are ready to get back in touch with you. It’s likely they have misplaced or lost whatever materials they picked up at the show.
Here’s a great example of a card sent by one of our show exhibitors.

Comments from Show Exhibitors:
Milwaukee:
“You have done a wonderful job with media exposure and selecting a fine diversity of artists and mediums to build a show that was very exciting for the public to view” - Al Buss
“We were so impressed by the breadth and quality of work available at the Fine Furnishings Show in Milwaukee. In fact, we were able to source several artisans to feature full-time in our Chicago studios. Those who attended the show were amazed at the level of craftsmanship available from these purely American artisans. This is what "green" is all about! Responsible individuals using sustainable domestic resources to their fullest extent - and then building in quality that will ensure the pieces will last for generations! I think anyone, designers included, would be foolish to ignore this show, even if they're not shopping for specific items or projects. This is the place to "bookmark" resources for the future.” - Paul Zurowski
Providence:
"The show broadened its range of styles and design, while maintaining its excellence in quality. The show's level of high quality craftsmanship has become a given, with the attendees only needing to find the style or design that fits their needs. As always, the show was run professionally, with all problems and requests handled promptly by Karla and her staff. If a trade show can be called "fun", Karla is the one that makes it so." – Bill Huston
"This year's show provided a wonderful showcase for some of the finest craft artists from all over the country. Exhibitors were very pleased with sales and attendance, and shoppers expressed their delight at the quality and variety of handmade work" – Micki Whelan
