Here’s Your Chance to be Part of the Show!

Every year at the Fine Furnishings Providence Show decorators and designers from throughout the Northeast style room vignettes utilizing hand-selected furniture designed and crafted by some of the country’s finest studio furniture makers exhibiting at the show. Unique handcrafted home accessories such as rugs, lamps, mirrors, pillows, throws and fine art from other show exhibitors complete the settings that inspire attendees with a plethora of ideas they can utilize in their own homes.

Wonderful Workspaces, Breakfast in Bed, and Tabletops for Entertaining are a few of the past themes developed for this annual competition. Awards are presented for the best room designs in several categories during the show’s annual Awards and Benefit Party on Friday evening. Participating designers are welcome to be present throughout the show to disseminate advice and information about their service to demographically desirable show attendees.

The design competition has become such a popular and fun aspect of the Fine Furnishings Show that designers such as Laureen McGarry of Eclectic Design Concepts in Farmington, Connecticut are calling and asking to be a part of it. “I saw the great rooms that the designers created last year and I just had to be a part of all that fun the next time around, Laureen said upon entering. I can’t wait to see what we get to work with since all the show’s exhibitors are so creative.”

One of our perennial design competition winners, Maggie Vale of Vale Designs in Newport, Rhode Island, was very excited about last year’s show. In promoting the attendance of more design trades people Maggie commented, "The Fine Furnishings Show in Providence is fast becoming the buying opportunity for shop owners and interior designers.
